It seems impossible to believe that we have been on the road for 2 weeks now. We have gone over 2600 miles, we have been to 4 national parks and crossed over 8 states.
Today we crossed over into Colorado and then left it again. Colorado is a part of the country that Tobin and I have fond memories of and the climate and the terrain is one that really appeals to us. We moved to western Washington from Colorado. The differences in climate and terrain made the move difficult. We of course love our Washington home and our Washington friends and family and truly believe that we are exactly where God wants us to be, but being back in Colorado we once again realized that we really miss the dryer climate and terrain.
We visited a unique part of the country. One geographical spot where you can literally be in 4 places at once. It is called the 4 corners and it is where the corners of the states of Utah, Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado all meet. We had a shorter drive today, just over 150 miles. We then entered the Navajo nation in New Mexico. Our destination was La Vida Mission, a little mission school on about 130 acres right in the heart of the Navajo Nation. Over the next few days we plan to get to know the kids and help out at the school and the grounds in any way that we can.
